With any pest problem, it’s really important to understand how they gained access to your property in the first place. Our experienced technicians will be able to work this out during their visits, and it is one of the most enjoyable aspects of our job. Remember we are dealing with a living, breathing intelligent animal or insect, one that has evolved over thousands of years to live alongside us.

There’s little point simply eliminating the pests if we don’t take steps to stop new ones gaining access.

We have a range of tools at our disposal to help us understand how and where they are accessing your property, and these combined with our experience, will help us determine what proofing steps need to be tackled.

And it is the proofing aspect we must work together on - what needs to be done to stop the pests gaining access.

This can include physically proofing certain areas, such as blocking holes and obvious entry points (bear in mind a rat can squeeze through a hole as small as a 50 pence piece), and/or altering your own behaviours, to give us a chance to get on top of the problem.

Our technician will explain exactly what needs to be done once on site and after their survey.

In addition, we will explain the treatment we are recommending to eradicate the actual pests in your property - and crucially, the steps you will need to take to make the treatment truly effective. This could include some preparation you need to undertake before we start treating inside your property. Or possibly temporarily stopping certain behaviours, such as feeding wild birds, simply because it will provide rodents with a food source they love meaning they won’t take any bait.
